Record Store Design

A custom webshop built for vinyl — your brand, your customer, your margins. Designed to stand on its own, or compound the reach you already have on Discogs.

Discogs brings discovery.
Your webshop builds the relationship.

Better margins, no marketplace fees, direct access to your own community — all in a branded experience that actually feels like your store.

One catalogue,
every channel.

A custom Shopify build is the core. Add the Discogs sync to compound your reach — list once, sell anywhere, with stock and prices always in lockstep.

Shopify, tailored for vinyl.

A storefront built around how crate-diggers actually browse — genre filters, sleeve-first layouts, fast search, and a checkout that doesn't fight you on a Saturday afternoon. Built whether your catalogue lives anywhere yet or not.

A list of four music albums with their titles, artists, release years, and prices.
  • Custom theme matched to your brand identity

  • Genre, label, condition & format filtering

  • Local pickup, EU shipping & wholesale rules

  • Shopify POS-ready for behind the counter

  • SEO foundations + Google Analytics 4 audit

Discogs ↔ Shopify, automatic.

Already listing on Discogs? Keep doing it. The moment something moves, your webshop updates — no duplicate work, no double-selling. Not on Discogs? Skip this entirely; your shop works perfectly without it.

  • Bidirectional inventory: list once, sell anywhere

  • Automatic stock, price & condition updates

  • Sleeve scans & metadata pulled from Discogs

  • Saves the typical store €1,000s in Discogs fees

Have a physical shop too? Plug Shopify POS into the same setup. Whatever you sell at the till updates the webshop's stock count instantly — same customers, same inventory, one source of truth. Optional, and easy to add any time after launch.

Who's behind it.

Record Store Design is a label by PRYMAL Digital — the digital arm of PRYMAL World. I'm a DJ and an ecommerce expert who directs every project. The work funds the events and DJ sets we run, so I know vinyl from both sides of the counter.

A small remote team of ecommerce specialists, with AI helping us stay fast where it makes sense. Senior-level work at a fair fixed fee — the craft a record shop's webshop deserves.

Things shop
owners ask.

  • Discogs is one of the best reach engines in vinyl — global buyers, no marketing spend, ready to purchase. We don't replace that; we build the other half. Your webshop becomes your brand home, while the sync keeps stock and prices identical across both. List once, sell on either.

  • Your webshop still works — it becomes your standalone brand home from day one. We'll import your catalogue however it lives (spreadsheets, point-of-sale exports, sleeve photos), and Discogs stays available as a growth channel you can plug in whenever you're ready.

  • Pricing depends on catalogue size and brand work involved. We'll send a clear, fixed-fee proposal after the discovery call — no surprises,

  • Most shops are live in 4 to 6 weeks, depending on catalogue size and brand readiness. We'll give you a clear timeline after the discovery call.

  • We migrate carefully — preserving URLs where possible, setting up redirects, and auditing Google Analytics to make sure you don't lose ranking or returning visitors.

  • Yes. Many of our shop clients keep us on a retainer for ads, content and SEO. Optional — never required to keep the sync running.

  • Yes — Shopify POS plugs straight into the same shop we build for you. Whatever you sell at the counter updates the same stock count instantly, so online and in-store stay in lockstep. We don't bundle it by default; ask us about it on the call if you'd like it set up.
